KO WAI? WHO ARE YOU?

This question underpins all aspects of leadership, team building,  and knowing where you stand in Aotearoa-New Zealand.  An understanding of Maori values of rangatiratanga (leadership), kotahitanga (unity), kaitiakitanga (guardianship), and manaakitanga (nurturing) will add enormous value to businesses and public sector agencies seeking to enhance productivity, to build esprit de corps, and to meet the demands of our multi-cultural society.

The “Ko wai?” experience puts you in a safe environment in which to directly appreciate  these concepts in practice through “learning by doing.”

Within the overall philosophy of practical experience (rather than “talking heads”) the programmes are customised to meet the specific needs of the participating organisation.   Some, for instance, may emphasise wairuatanga - putting the spirit back into a team. Others can focus on maramatanga - a non-threatening look at the Treaty by giving people a more in-depth understanding of Maori culture.  All provide a non-threatening induction into Maoritanga for everyone from New Zealand-born to the newest immigrants alike.

Our eminent and highly skilled programme leaders all subscribe to a key notion: that while the purposes and outcomes are serious (and sometimes quite challenging), the experience should be fun!
